Freebie: Watercolor Journal Cards

Watercolor Jounral Cards Example
Hello everyone!

I’ve been on a crafting hiatus (for a whole weekend) attending a friend’s wedding in Portland. The wedding was beyond beautiful and Portland was amazing- I’d never been before. I’ve come back with plenty of inspiration for my next project and who knows- I just may put a bird on it. 😉

In the meantime, I have a freebie for the Project Life-ers out there. Printable watercolor journal cards! (Because watercolor everything is so trendy right now!)

Watercolor Journal Cards

I designed these cards from handmade watercolor textures I created using this technique I found on Pinterest.

This process was so easy!  I used an acrylic block, Tim Holtz Distress Markers, and a Mini Mister on watercolor paper. Lori’s Tutuorials for Stamping and Paper craft @ Elvie Studio are a must see!

(CHECK OUT HER BLOG FOR DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS!)

Once dry, I scanned the ink textures at home with a high dpi setting so I could easily resize them to fit larger projects. Then I used my favorite editing program- Pixelmator, to create the 3×4″ cards.

I hope you enjoy this freebie and it inspires you to create something awesome. Use these in your own Project Life layouts or on greeting cards!

SignatureThanks for visiting! Comment below and let me know what you plan to use them for- I’d love to hear from you! Don’t forget to check out my Artspiration and Cards boards on Pinterest for more paper craft ideas!

Such pretty papers, Nikki! Thank-you so much.
I am currently working on a family album where I can see lots of use for them – it will help carry my current theme throughout.
I also want to use them as backgrounds or mat pieces for card making.
Wishing you all the best in 2017.
    Blessed Be.
