Hello crafty friends! I hope your new year has been spectacular so far!
I’m back today with a quick post to show off a recent card creation! This XOXO Roses Card is perfect for Valentine’s Day or even an anniversary! And as you can see I’m still on a foiling kick- so I’ll be sure to detail all the supplies I used for this mini masterpiece! 😉 I hope it inspires you to create something for your valentine this February- which is just around the corner!
This A2 sized card is deceptively detailed. It looks like I spent hours on it- I didn’t! The roses are part of a clever stamp set- Hampton Art Clear Layer Roses! Each rose has 3 coordinating parts, and I simply stamped each layer with a different color.
The colorful foiled background? First I added some watery Distress Oxide ink with a brush onto watercolor paper and blew on the wet puddles with a straw. Let dry!
The silver foil splatter? I sprayed Minc Recative Mist. This stuff is magical! Its VERY sticky- so I had to let it dry for some time. When it was ready, I added silver Minc Foil over the top and ran it through my machine. If you follow my other posts you’d know how obsessed I am with the Minc products- but if you are new to the foiling craze, check out this quick video below of how the Minc Mist works!
I finished the card with a simple bold XOXO sentiment embossed in matching silver!
