DIY Holiday Paper Gift Boxes

Hello again crafty friends!

Today I want to share these adorable DIY holiday gift boxes fashioned from, you guessed it- PAPER!

With the W R Memory Keepers 123 punch board (yes, I cheated on my Silhouette…) these came together in a snap. Also, they are as customizable as you want. I added coordinating tags to each gift box, but you could simply put a bow on it and call it a day! I’ve included a list of the supplies I used so you can give it a try! I hope this project inspires you to create your own DIY holiday paper gift boxes, because the holidays will be here and gone before you know it!

I loved making these for the holidays! My crafting time is limited as a new mommy. If I find the time to make something it better serve a purpose! These will house wonderful gifts for family, so I can check that off my never ending to do list!

Despite the wintry forecast in my area, I recently completed a display for my library that exudes spring-  Colorful Clouds & Raindrops! This display is perfect for a library, but could also be a great project for party decorations, or a child’s room! I used my trusty Silhouette Cameo, of course, and have broken down the process for you. I’ve also included my cut files so you can get to crafting without delay!

DIY Wood Bracket Bookends

Hello everyone!

I’ve been super busy the last few weekends addressing all my incomplete DIY and crafts that I meant to finish long ago. In these final few weeks of summer I’ve thoroughly coated my garage in a deep layer of saw dust with various woodworking projects- custom picture frames for the hallway, and a total front porch/patio renovation. I’m super excited to share both of these projects with you- just as soon as I remove the multitude of splinters from my hands!
DIY Wood Bookends Fluorescent BeigeThis week I wanted to share with you the easiest (and most painless!) fall project- DIY wood bookends! Like me, you can finally organize your hoard collection of library books, personal books, or make some sense out of that stack of back to school books.
This project requires no assembly, just a pair of pre-assembled wood scroll brackets, paint or stain of your choosing, and a few anti-skid furniture pads. This relatively inexpensive and simple craft is perfect for creating functional and custom decor for your home or office!

In the meantime, I have a freebie for the Project Life-ers out there. Printable watercolor journal cards! (Because watercolor everything is so trendy right now!)

Craft Storage with Ikea Tjena Boxes

Hello and welcome back!

I’ve been on an organization kick, so today I wanted to share with you one of my favorite storage solutions- the Tjena Boxes from Ikea. These $3.99 life savers could be used in every room of the house (and probably will) but I fell in love with them for making my craft room so neat and tidy.

Craft Storage with Ikea Tjena Boxes

The Tjena boxes with built-in dividers are perfect for journaling cards, paints, embellishments, tools, or any kind of craft Item you could think of. They are also low-profile and fit perfectly in drawers for easy access storage.

Tjena Paint Storage

This is truly one of my favorite purchases of all Ikea’s ready-to-assemble treasures. I love that the box dividers are easily cut to make larger compartments as necessary. I simply cut one section to make room for my 4×6″ Project Life cards, my 2×2″ cards, and my corner round punches. The Tjena boxes have also made it so easy to arrange my watercolor, gouache, and acrylic paints by color. And if you are wondering, I store most of my craft inventory in an Ikea Expedite/Hopen combination setup in my office closet- which I will be sure to show you more of in a future post!

SignatureThanks for stopping by! I’m always up for more craft room or organizing ideas- so feel free to comment or share a link to your ideas! If you are on an organizing spree like me be sure to follow my Clean it and Put it Away board on Pinterest. It’s full of things we should probably be doing instead of browsing on Pinterest. Go figure. 😉
